Cave House Holiday in Spain.....
'Cueva Canela' is a rural cave on the outskirts of the village of La Alqueria - just a few kilometres (5 min drive) from the town of Galera.
Directly outside the cave you have access to walking, cycling and birdwatching areas. There are a good choice of other activities nearby, such as hang-gliding, bike riding, horse riding, quad bikes,
swimming in a choice of nearby pools (some with fish!),
hot springs and fabulous inland lakes and beaches...

Cueva Canela is currently being renovated from a former animal cave (that has never been occupied by humans), into a comfortable up to date 'eco' holiday cave. There are some photos in the GALLERY link on the right of this page, to give you an idea.
Electric is supplied by Solar Panels and sometimes Generator Power although this is kept to an absolute minimum. Large high drain electrical items are not used in our caves for this reason.
The cave is next door to our cave - 'Cueva Carro' - so it is not completely isolated. We will be available if you need us.
It is situated around 600 metres from a sleepy village, in a lovely quiet location, away from the main road.
The well equipped and fully furnished accommodation which is all on one level, consists of 3 double size bedrooms, (wheel chair access to 2 of the bedrooms) with built in wardrobes, a fitted kitchen with gas oven/hob, fridge-freezer, etc.., sitting/dining room with TV, (UK/Worldwide Sky Freeview Channels available in a range of languages),
plus HDD, DVD and Video Players.
There is a nice shower room with washing machine, again this is set up for wheel chair users.
A good supply of DVD's, Books and Board Games are available in both Spanish and English.
The large walled and gated courtyard (safe for children and pets) will have a fully fitted BBQ area and there is plenty of parking.
Well behaved dogs are most welcome.
There is a working farm (goat, sheep, horses, cattle) approx. 150 metres away, so dog owners should be aware of this. We have 2 dogs and chickens.
Camping is available. Tents of various sizes, plus a range of usual extras are available for hire.
